About Escambia County Criminal History

Escambia County criminal records are divided among the sheriff, local courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and other official systems. The right source depends on whether the record concerns a booking, filed court case, statewide criminal history, state custody, or registry entry. This private reference site organizes those routes for people researching records in Brewton and throughout Escambia County, Alabama.

Why We Built This Site

Alabama record access is split by custodian. The Escambia County Sheriff's Office handles county booking and law-enforcement material, while the Escambia Circuit Clerk maintains Circuit and District Court case files. Statewide criminal-history records are kept by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Criminal Records Identification Unit. The Alabama Department of Corrections covers state custody, and the ALEA Sex Offender Registry / Community Information Center publishes qualifying registry information. We bring the official contacts, request procedures, search options, and researched fees into one county-focused reference.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not an Alabama government service. We are not connected with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the Circuit Clerk, ALEA, any municipal police department, or any court. Those boundaries mean:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement rule as legal advice
  • We cannot promise that an office's hours, address, phone number, fee, or process has not changed

Only the office that maintains a record can issue an official or certified copy. Use the Escambia County custodian or ALEA channel identified for that record.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes displayed on the site. Each provider controls its results, prices, and service terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operation. We do not set the provider's charges and cannot confirm the completeness or accuracy of its results.
