1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operated independently of government. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve records, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its role is to identify Escambia County and Alabama sources, including the sheriff, local courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and the ALEA Sex Offender Registry / Community Information Center. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use automated scrapers, bots, or similar tools against the pages
• Violate a federal, Alabama, or local law through your use
• Attempt unauthorized access to any system or data
• Use information to harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate a person
• Use site content for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision
• Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use site information or a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also be criminal. Alabama's registry rules, including the public-information framework in Ala. Code § 15-20A-8, govern information published through the ALEA Sex Offender Registry / Community Information Center. Registry information is for public-safety awareness, not vigilante acts, blacklisting, or discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, background checks, or other consumer reports. Our advertising partners and this site do not provide tools designed to assess applicants, renters, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. You must not use site or linked-tool data to:

• Set an insurance premium or evaluate creditworthiness
• Make an employment decision
• Evaluate a housing applicant or potential renter
• Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
• Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

A check needed for a regulated purpose must come from an authorized official channel or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how an Escambia County charge, conviction, warrant, or Alabama Chapter 27 expungement provision applies to a specific matter. Seek advice from an attorney licensed in Alabama.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." We make no guarantee that:

• A partner tool's result is accurate or complete
• The website will operate continuously
• Any page is free from defects, errors, or security weaknesses
• Information remains complete, correct, and current

Charges may be filed, dismissed, restricted, or expunged, so record status can change. Information gaps and delays are unavoidable. Nothing published here is an official statement of a sheriff, court, ALEA, or another public office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff, court, Alabama agency, legal-resource, and outside search websites. We do not control an external site's availability, content, privacy practices, or fees. Its own terms apply after you leave this website.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, code, logos, and graphics belong to Escambia County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless against a claim, demand, or legal action caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Alabama law governs these terms, and any dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Alabama. The Alabama Open Records Act, principally Ala. Code §§ 36-12-40 and 36-12-41, applies to public writings held by government custodians, not this private site. Criminal-justice information is separately governed by Ala. Code §§ 41-9-590 through 41-9-645.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when the changed terms are posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or terminate access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be modified only to the extent needed for enforcement.
